How much cement is required for 1000sq ft and 6 inch thick slab?

    It totally depends on the grade of concrete that you are going to use. Lets take you are constructing a residential villa then the Grade of concrete will be M20. As per IS 10067 - 7.33 bags/cum but actually in site condition it will go up to 8 bags/cum. Hence the Volume of concrete needed will be, I am excluding the beams in this case., so for slab alone its 14.15 cum. Hence the cement bags needed will be 113 bags of 50kgs bags of cement required approximately for that slab alone. 

    In case if you are using M25 then you will need 9.76 bags let say 11 bags per cum for site condition. So, the total number of bags required will be 156 bags of 50kgs cement bags will be required.
